New Orleans Wedding Photographer | City Park | Engagement Session

How did you meet?
We met at Bayou Beer Garden, a local bar, of all places. It was football pre-season, and we were both there grabbing a few beers and watching games. We met at the bar, realized we had mutual friends, and exchanged numbers. A week or two later, we went on a date, and then 4 more, etc.

How did he propose?
We were on a Labor Day weekend vacation in Nashville when it happened. In my mind, the trip was planned to visit a good friend of mine living in Nashville with the added bonus of hanging out in a cool city. Little did I know that Michael had planned a much more special and memorial trip. Although the weather forecast predicted a ton of rain, Saturday, September 2nd was one of the prettiest days of the year- 65 degrees, sunny, and beautiful. After a morning of walking around the city, we, along with my best friend and her boyfriend, went to Arrington vineyard to drink wine and take “perfect, Pinterest-like, Instagram” pictures. When we arrived, Michael suggested finding the highest area in the vineyard to take pictures before walking around. While “taking pictures,” Michael made his move. After the proposal, he suggested we go to the vineyard barn where there was live music and apparently my next surprise. On our arrival, our parents were patiently waiting to celebrate! It was absolutely perfect, and I have never been more surprised.

What steps are you taking to prepare for married life?
We are both Catholic and were raised in strong Catholic families. Since we started dating, we make an effort to go to church together on Sunday’s and are now participating in Catholic Marriage preparation classes.

While planning your wedding, what are you most excited about?
We are most excited about everyone (closest family and friends) being there to celebrate with us, it should be a lot fun!

What has been the most stressful part of planning a wedding?
Money….isn’t that always the most stressful part of everything…
